The ruminations of a lowcountry girl.
Wow Lisa, your jack-o-lanterns were great. I forgot to take pics of ours this year. They were pretty simple though.
The kids FORCE me to buy a kit. At least Mary did her own (the vampire one), but in the process she broke both the carving tools. It is almost impossible to find another kit by all hallow's eve. I had my husband check out Keer and the Pig by our house....then I had to run to Walmart, Target, Party City....and finally stopped at a nameless drugstore that had a very primitive kit that did the trick for the Monster....I got home after dark and had to immediatly produce the results.....whew!!!! I know I created those expectations somewhere in years past. The kids are already spoiled...cannot revert back to the good ole days of pumpking faces made of triangles.
Your kids crack me up!
